What are the winning numbers for Friday’s $333 Mega Millions jackpot?

5/5 - (1 vote)

Since no ticket in the previous drawing matched all six numbers, $333 million is up for grabs tonight. To win, though, you have to have a ticket that matches the Mega Ball drawn in addition to all five winning numbers, which is extremely unlikely.

August saw a spectacular $1.58 billion winner in Mega Millions, breaking the previous record of $1.54 billion established in October 2018. Only five times in the 27 years that Mega Millions has been in operation has the top prize surpassed $1 billion.

What are the winning numbers for Friday, 2 February?

The winning numbers for the Friday, 2 February 2024 draw are 11-22-42-64-69 with a Mega Ball of 18 and a Megaplier of 3x.

What are the winning numbers for Tuesday, 30 January?

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, 30 January 2024 draw were 3-5-16-58-59 with a Mega Ball of 11 and a Megaplier of 4x.

What are the biggest Mega Millions jackpots ever?

The 8 August 2023 jackpot was only the fifth to have exceeded the $1 billion mark in Mega Millions history, and at $1.58 billion became the biggest to be won since the lottery began.

Lead director of the Mega Millions Consortium Gretchen Corbin stated, “There’s always a sense of excitement around the country when Mega Millions jackpots soar.” “The increasing jackpot generates significant funds for the charitable organizations that each lottery supports while providing players with entertainment and winnings.”

Mega Millions: how to play

A ticket costs $2. To play, you have to choose six numbers from two separate pools: five ‘white’ numbers between 1 and 70, plus a ‘Mega Ball’ number from 1 to 25. To secure the jackpot, all six numbers must match those that are drawn.

Jackpot winners can receive their money in annual installments (the annuity option) or as a lump sum (the cash option). While annuity recipients get the jackpot in full, those who opt to be paid up front are given a smaller sum. Winnings are pre-tax amounts.

Smaller cash prizes are also available for players who correctly guess some, but not all, of the numbers drawn. In some states, players can pay an extra $1 to multiply non-jackpot winnings by two, three, four or five times, depending on the ‘Megaplier’ number selected before the draw itself.
